- Intercession Spells
Intervention
Consider the astonishment
of God. Consider the call to intervention. Consider the possibilities
of intervention. Consider the irrevocable promises given as an invitation
to prayer. Prayer - a futile task. Prayer - a work for those who have
no ability to engage in men's business of politics and lobbying, writing
and talking. Prayer is God's politics. Intercession is the business
of the Son. Prevailing prayer is the hard work of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer is the major means of intervention designed to produce godly
rule in this dispensation.
- Prophetic
Position: Covenants and Chivalry
Prophets are men of protocol and set standards.
A prophet’s psalm is Psalms 119 - loving the truth, defending the faith,
behaving with integrity and holiness. The prophet may be as rugged as
the Baptist, but nothing belonging to the prophetic dimension displays
itself in the bizarre or the vulgar. Prophets are not prone to flippancy.
Rather, such an attitude attracts the demonic. The flesh and the demonic
are two of a kind. The prophetic dimension equals the necessity of separation,
it produces separation. God defines
the interaction between man and man and between man and God in terms
of covenants, in terms of loyalty. E. M. Bounds said: "Prayer
is loyalty to God". Worship is loyalty to God. Worship is dependence.
Sin, at its root, is a moving away from utter dependence and away from
the proper relation to the Father. Re-established relation to God is
re-established dependence, even re-established covenant reality. Salvation
is reinstalled dependence and obedience.
At present time the title
and the role of the Royal Priesthood is being happily and thoughtlessly
exchanged for knighthood. The Holy Spirit is exchanged for the spirit
of Camelot - a spirit ruling an old English castle, a familiar spirit.
The charismatics turned faith in Faith, turned all kinds of blessings,
are now turning to the spirit of Camelot and are gladly receiving knighthood,
becoming knights of the round table, knights of another king by the
name of Arthur.
This is prophetic seeing and speaking:
Something seen as with the eyes of the Lord regarding a time/space issue,
words sent from Heaven to earth, to men, to be considered by men in
relation to the state of affairs of common men. Prophecy is more than
many things a matter of thinking, a matter of generating thinking. Prophecy
is reality spoken in a relevant manner into a setting in which matters
of authenticity are held in esteem by men whose hearts are warm and
open to the things of the Lord and whose intelligence stays at working
temperature for the sake of relevancy and sobriety. Prophecy defines
itself by a clever approach to present reality, it speaks real words
to a real world. It is sent to bring a certain sense of ultimacy, it
challenges, its directness is at times offensive for the sake of alerting
a dulled conscience. Prophecy is Heaven sent to Earth.
